About the Scholarship
GenHERation® and the WiT Foundation, Inc./Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment have partnered together to award a talented young woman a $2,500 scholarship in 2022.
Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment is a nonprofit organization and diverse global community whose mission is to advance and advocate for women in the toy, licensing, and entertainment industries through leadership, opportunity, and connection.
The WiT Foundation Scholarship is intended to honor the achievements of women who are studying in the fields of toy design, engineering, entrepreneurship, and business. The scholarship is designed to promote academic excellence and increased visibility of talented students across the toy, consumer products, licensing, and entertainment industries. Candidates have the opportunity to apply for the annual scholarship on the basis of merit, innovation, and leadership. The scholarship is available to be used by the recipients to further enhance their academic goals during the current or following academic year. Recipients will be notified in January 2022 and awarded the scholarship in March 2022. Scholarship winners will also be invited to attend the Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment Wonder Women Awards Gala in New York in February 2022.
Requirements
College students graduating in 2022 or 2023 pursuing academic degrees in the following fields are encouraged to apply:
- Industrial Design
- Engineering
- Entrepreneurship
- Business
- Education/social studies related to the benefits of play
- IP Law
- Animation
