Hartford Funds is looking to hire Advisor Support Consultants (entry-level) and Internal Advisor Consultants (non-entry-level) for their Wayne, PA office. These roles will follow a hybrid work model (Mon./Fri. remote, Tues./Wed./Thurs. in the office).

Advisor Support Consultant

This position will give selected individuals the exciting opportunity to learn Hartford Funds’ Mutual Fund and ETF businesses and obtain securities licenses. Advisor Support Consultants will work with financial advisors, advisor consultants, and internal sales professionals to further their knowledge of the financial services industry.

Responsibilities of the Role

  • Respond to phone calls from financial advisors promptly and professionally, following established criteria
  • Explain in detail the features, benefits, and advantages of Hartford Funds’ products and funds
  • Provide personalized, web-based hypothetical illustrations
  • Place supply orders for marketing material
  • Follow up with representatives with answers to questions, or to make sure information was received and understood
  • Log phone calls into Hartford Funds’ computer system for tracking purposes
  • Act as a liaison between home office and wholesalers in the field
  • Assist in the training and development process of new employees
  • Once licensed, make outbound phone calls to financial advisors regarding new products, marketing ideas, special meetings, etc.

Internal Advisor Consultant

Hartford Funds’ sales desk is a collaborative, inclusive, and energizing place to work. Sales plays an integral role in the success of the firm. Hartford Funds encourages their sales team to pursue designations, education, and new skill sets.

Responsibilities of the Role

  • Develop relationships with Financial Professionals in your territory through outbound calls, virtual meetings, and emails
  • Sell, cross-sell, and upsell Hartford Funds’ products to Financial Professionals at the industry’s most recognized companies
  • Partner with the external salesperson (Advisor Consultant) to develop territory business plan and execute on company initiatives
  • Act as a go-between with the “home office” and Advisor Consultant in the field
  • Provide personalized, web-based hypothetical illustrations
  • Ask for referrals and business
  • Handle special projects as assigned within the Sales Desk
  • Attend various sales meetings and training sessions
  • Work within your team to make those around you better
  • Maintain contact management system (CRM) to track all calls and conversations
  • Resolve service and other business-related issues

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field preferred
  • NASD Series 7, 63, or 66 licenses required within first 3 months
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of sales experience, preferably in Financial Services
  • Flexible and able to accept, create, and manage change
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team
  • Passion for sales/financial industry
