Samantha Grasso
Samantha Grasso is the President and COO of GenHERation®, a network where young women and companies connect that has empowered more than 600,000 students around the world. In this role, she manages partnerships with more than 300 companies, including Google, Netflix, the Los Angeles Lakers, Mattel, Capital One, J.P. Morgan, EY, Snapchat, NASA, the New England Patriots, Pixar, the U.S State Department, and the New York Yankees, and 2,500 schools. GenHERation® works with schools in more than 20 countries, and Samantha has led the company’s expansion into Canada and the U.K. Samantha and her team developed GenHERation® Ventures, a yearlong experiential learning program where students launch an entrepreneurial venture from concept to completion. This year, Samantha and her team will host the GenHERation® Campus Connection Tour at universities across the country to provide opportunities for first-gen college students. Samantha also oversees operations for GenHERation® Discovery Days, a cross-country bus tour which has been recognized as the largest career exploration trip in North America and honored by former First Lady Michelle Obama.
Samantha leads programming for the GenHERation® Summer Intensive, an immersive summer program that equips young women with the skills to succeed in the classroom, college, and beyond. As part of the Summer Intensive 2023, she partnered with Mattel’s Barbie Movie team to create a skill-building simulation to help young women refine their leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills. In addition to managing partnerships, Samantha leads the GenHERation® content team. Samantha created the GenHERation® “5 Questions With” series, which features interviews with the most powerful women in the world, including Arianna Huffington, Roz Brewer, Kendra Scott, Dylan Lauren, and Angela Duckworth.
Samantha also launched The GenHERation® Collection product line. Most recently, she partnered with international fashion brand AllSaints to create the AllSaints x GenHERation® t-shirt to celebrate International Women’s Day. She worked with the AllSaints executive team to develop the brand’s first cause-based marketing campaign to support the advancement of women in North America. “We are so proud to be partnering up with GenHERation®,” AllSaints COO Catherine Scorey Jobling shared when announcing this collaboration. “This is something we strongly support, so wherever possible we will try to help empower young women’s lives across North America through fundraising, events, and volunteering.”
Samantha is a 2018 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where she earned a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics with a Concentration in Choice and Behavior. As an undergraduate, she received the Robert J. Alig Senior Award, which is awarded to an outstanding senior woman member of Penn Traditions.
Currently, Samantha serves as a 2018 Gift Chair for The Penn Fund, a Co-Chair for the Salon Dinners Committee for Momentum: The Power of Penn Women, an Ambassador for the Penn Association of Alumnae, and a member of the University of Pennsylvania Alumni Class Leadership Council. She loves running, traveling, and comedy.
