ABOUT WOMEN IN TOYS, LICENSING & ENTERTAINMENT 

Founded in 1991, Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment (WiT)/The WiT Foundation is a global nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that serves a diverse community of professionals at all stages of their career. As the preeminent voice for the toy, licensing and entertainment industries advocating for gender equality and the advancement of women, WiT provides women with a community of belonging that opens doors to people, resources and opportunity through events, education and programming. The WiT Foundation grants scholarships to deserving students enrolled in industry-related undergraduate programs. WiT has 25 chapters throughout  the U.S., Canada, Hong Kong, France, the UK and Australia, with liaisons in Finland, Germany, India and Lebanon. 

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 2024

Building on the success of its long-standing scholarship program, Women in Toys, Licensing & Entertainment (WiT) continues to develop women leaders with the launch of the new 2024 WiT Foundation Scholarship, an application-based scholarship open to female students. The revamped 2024 program is designed to reach more women than ever before. It will support students who are pursuing undergraduate degrees in industry-related fields. The scholarship includes a financial award of $5,000, a one year WiT membership, career-focused programming, enrollment in WiT’s Ruth Handler Mentorship Program, access to internship and job postings, and more. Award recipients will also  be invited to attend WiT’s Wonder Women Awards Gala in Los Angeles on September 13,  2024, where they will be recognized alongside industry professionals. 

APPLICATION DETAILS

WiT is now accepting scholarship applications, with a deadline to apply by June 17, 2024. To be  considered, applicants must identify as women, live in the United States or Canada, be full-time undergraduate students at an accredited college or university with a minimum 3.0 GPA, have interest in a career in the consumer products, toys, licensing and entertainment industries, and pursue a degree in fields including: Business Management, Design, Engineering, Computer Science, E-Commerce, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Law, Creative Arts and other industry related programs. Awards will be granted in August 2024 and will be based on a student’s merit and leadership.
