Recently there have been a few break-ins at the most important mansion in the world, the White House. Though no one was hurt, these incidents come at the price of Julia Pierson’s job, the former head of the Secret Service announced her resignation on Wednesday. During a White House briefing, Press Secretary Josh Earnest said President Barack Obama had called Pierson to “express his appreciation for her service to the agency and the country.” For the time being, Joseph Clancy will serve as the interim acting director. The security breaches in the White House have included an armed man jumping over a White House fence and making his way into the mansion before being accosted by an off-duty Secret Service agent and President Obama being allowed to ride in an elevator with an armed ex-convict. Nothing like a few break-ins at our nation’s capital to remind people to lock their front door.
