Google to the rescue…as usual.
This week, Gmail released a new feature: “Undo Send.” Exactly what it sounds like, this new button allows you to actually do what you usually yell at your screen after accidentally sending an email. Don’t get too excited, this feature doesn’t allow you to remove an email from a user’s inbox; however, it does award you a couple precious seconds to rethink what you just sent. Brilliant.
Taylor Swift’s bad blood for Apple Music
Last week, Taylor Swift sent a strongly-worded letter to Apple stating that she will not be releasing her latest album 1989 to Apple Music because of the service’s royalty-free trial period.
“This is not about me. Thankfully I am on my fifth album and can support myself, my band, crew, and entire management team by playing live shows. This is about the new artist or band that has just released their first single and will not be paid for its success. This is about the young songwriter who just got his or her first cut and thoughtthat the royalties from that would get them out of debt. This is about the producer who works tirelessly to innovate and create.”
Apple relented and finally announced that artists will be compensated during the free trial period. Hurrah! The service’s launch date is set to June 30.
