Amazon is taking on its competitors in a new way. Early this week, the company announced its latest technology, the Fire TV Stick. By plugging the flash drive sized, device into a TV, people will be able to stream Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and other videos and music from the Internet onto their televisions. It also allows people to play games and stream music from Spotify and Pandora. Amazon boasts that its device contains 8GB of storage and a dual-core processor. The Fire TV Stick starts at $39 (which is less than Roku’s $50 Streaming Stick and Google’s $35 Chromecast). There is an extra $30 charge for an upgraded remote that will allow people to use their voices to search for programming.
