GenHERation Announces Inaugural Icon Award Winners

We are excited to announce the inaugural recipients of the GenHERation Icon Award! This award recognizes 7 individuals who have been instrumental to the growth of the GenHERation community. Please join us in congratulating our 2017 class of GenHERation Icon Award winners.

Kimberly Plaskett

Kimberly Plaskett is the Vice President of Marketing at Greyhound Lines, Inc. in Dallas, Texas. Serving over 3,800 destinations across North America, Greyhound and its subsidiary BoltBus, have become our go-to travel partner for GenHERation Discovery Days. Kim kicked off our Discovery Days visit in Dallas this summer by sharing that “there are many roads to success and you are in the driver’s seat.”

David Hall

As the General Manager of BoltBus at Greyhound Lines, Inc. in Dallas, David is the biggest champion of our Discovery Days tour. David and his team manage the drivers, schedule the routes, and prepare the buses for our cross-country adventure. We are grateful for his support and dedication to advancing young women.

Debbie Lew

Debbie Lew is an Executive Director, Risk, for EY in Los Angeles. She is the longest-serving panelist on our summer tour, appearing as a featured speaker at our GenHERation Summer Leadership Series 2015 San Francisco, GenHERation Discovery Days 2016, and GenHERation Discovery Days 2017. She has also been a guest on our ConvHERsations webisode series and joined us on SiriusXM Radio to discuss the importance of role models.

Marie Bridgeforth

Inspired by the mantra of “building a better working world,” EY is one of the largest professional services firms in the world. In her role as the Assistant Director/Inclusiveness Recruiting Consultant, Marie has helped us partner with EY in 10 cities across North America to highlight more than 50 female leaders at the firm. EY has provided more than $20,000 in scholarships to GenHERation members since 2015.

Kate Morris

Kate Morris is the Lead, People & Inclusion on Adobe’s Customer & Employee Experience team. We have partnered with Adobe for the past three years to host the GenHERation Summer Leadership Series and GenHERation Discovery Days at their San Francisco office. Kate has spearheaded additional initiatives, such as our Adobe Anti-Bullying Challenge and Adobe Impact Award, which have provided young women with scholarships to develop innovative ways to utilize technology to better their communities. Learn why Kate thinks it is important to ignite people development efforts for young women in tech in BizWomen and Adobe Life.

Jamie Davis

“Grow with the flow” is the advice Jamie Davis, Head of Human Resources at Hartford Funds, shared with the audience as a GenHERation Discovery Days panelist. A strong advocate for women in finance, Jamie funded a Hartford Fund Scholarship during the GenHERation Summer Leadership Series 2015 and has been a GenHERation Discovery Days host for the past two summers. Jamie was also profiled on NBC Philadelphia as one of the inspiring female executives on our summer tour.

Jill Dickerson

Jill Dickerson is the Senior Vice President of Programming and Development at OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network in Los Angeles. After responding to a cold email from our founder, Jill has become an invaluable proponent of our work in the entertainment industry. Jill was a panelist at the GenHERation Summer Leadership Series 2015 Los Angeles, a guest on our ConvHERsations webisode series, and was an essential leader in bringing GenHERation Discovery Days to OWN.
