Education: NYC Student Empowers Girls Through Fashion

On December 5th, GenHERation Ambassador, Rebecca Reich will be hosting the second annual “Empowerment Rebecca Reich 2Through Fashion” event to benefit the Greater Chinatown Community Association (GCCA). This year, Rebecca solicited over 400 items of new and “like new” clothing, and 15 girls affiliated with the GCCA willmodel 40 different looks ranging from jean shorts to leather pants to fun dresses and finally evening wear.  An added enticement (other then the excitement of walking the runway) is that each girl keeps whatever she models.  After the fashion show, there will be a panel of professional women available to provide career guidance. Panelists include a judge, an investment banker, a magazine publisher (from People StyleWatch), and an actor (Amy Carlson currently appearing on Blue Bloods)! All clothing not worn in the fashion show will be for sale at steep discounts, and there will be a silent auction of designer bags and accessories. If you’re in the New York area, please stop by the Transfiguration School/Church Auditorium at 105 Mosco Street from 3:00-5:00 this Saturday!
