Business: Ebola Outbreak Disrupts Business

Companies have evacuated employees from Liberia, suspended drilling projects, and cancelled flights in response to the Ebola outbreak that has been responsible for nearly 1,000 deaths. The three African countries that have been impacted the most are Guinea, Sierra Leone, and Liberia. Once the outbreak is controlled and contained, the crisis will no longer be a threat to the rest of Africa or global economies. It is estimated that the outbreak will shrink economic growth in Guinea from 4.5 to 3.5 percent.
