Business: Apple Phone Screens

Apple may be taking a page out of Samsung’s book by shifting over to large-screened iPhones. The tech giant is reportedly asking its manufacturers for 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch screens for iPhones; after seeing the success of Samsung’s cell phones with increasingly larger screens, Apple is trying to cater to the needs of its consumers. Historically, Apple has released new iPhones in mid-September, so we can expect to learn the exact goal of the company once the new iPhone is actually released then. The main problem that may arise from these larger screens is the lack of clarity and quality in the display; since the new phones will be thinner and lighter than previous iPhones, Apple is testing new technology to have the touch sensors built into the display (rather than layered under the display.)
